Using Libby

Upon opening your Libby app, you will see two little tabs at the bottom of the screen labeled “Shelf” and “Library”. The “Shelf” tab is where you will go to see your loaned items. If you have nothing borrowed yet, tap on “Library” in the lower left corner. Here, you can search a title or an author of an E-book or an audiobook to loan.

Tap on the search bar at the top of the screen and search an author, such as “James Patterson”. Libby will pull up every item related to what you searched that is available in the White Pine’s Library.

When you have found something you would like to borrow, tap on the image of the item and it will pull up the record. From here, tap on “Borrow” beneath the image. Libby will tell you how long you will be loaning the item for and then you can tap on the burgundy “Borrow!” button to confirm your action. Then you can either start reading or listening right away, keep browsing, or go to your shelf.

To listen or read an item, go to your “Shelf” tab. Then you can tap on the image of whichever book you want to read/listen to. From here, all you have to do is press play!
